Add or Update a Journal Entry

The Add/Update Window: this window display the contents of a single record. It is invoked when you click on the INSERT button. The contents of the record are the same whether you are adding a new record or updating a previously saved record. The functions in Add/Update are: OK to save data that have been entered, CANCEL to not save the data and HELP.

Entering Data - "Consistency counts"
Most data fields are "wysiwyg" ... what you see is what you get. Enter names, titles and descriptions in a way that makes sense for you.

Date    
Today's date will be the default date displayed. Enter your desired date.

Person's Name    
The person's name whose Profile you are working will automatically be displayed.

Entry Title    
It may be helpful to categorize or label your journal entries. Some entries may be about a hospital stay, a treatment plan, a new medication, etc.

Doctor's Name
Select the doctor's name from the down list if appropriate. Note: you can not add a doctor from this window. Go to the Doctor's Button on the List People Window to add a new doctor. See Adding a Doctor or Show Me the Doctors Button on the List People Window for more information.

Entry
Use this section to record your observations and feelings. There is no formatting of data or spell checking.

Accept data and closes the window
Cancel Button
Cancel operation; restores original information
Help Button
See Help Window
Print This Entry
Prints a copy of this single journal entry
